Values and Vision

Bredenbury is a wonderfully unique little school, set in the breathtaking rural setting of Herefordshire. We are approximately three miles south of the historic market town of Bromyard, and within easy reach of Leominster. The school is located just off the A44 in the village of Bredenbury.

Our small, mixed age group classes mean that pupils are known in depth by their staff and develop close, positive relationships. They also learn from and form close bonds with each other. Our committed staff provide a wonderful education with plenty of fun, memorable experiences for our pupils. We value caring, friendship and collaboration as a vital part of our learning journey. That is why we proudly display our motto:  Dedicated to Learning, Thriving Together.

We believe that learning should be an enjoyable, lifelong process through which everyone can achieve their potential and exceed their expectations. We will challenge and support our pupils to do their very best by providing an extensive range of learning experiences beyond the statutory requirement.

Our Core Values

  • We value the way in which all children are unique and our curriculum promotes respect for the views of each individual child, as well as for people of all cultures.
  • We organise our curriculum so that we can promote cooperation and understanding between all members of our community.
  • We respect each child in our school for who they are and we treat them with fairness and honesty. We aim to enable each person to be successful and provide equal opportunities for all children in our school.
  • We value our own environment and we aim, through our curriculum, to teach respect for our country and the world and how we should care for it for future generations, as well as our own.

Herefordshire Council Admission Arrangements 2025/2026

The admissions process opens in September of the year before your child is due to start school and closes in January. Children in England are entitled to start school in the September following their 4th birthday and must start their education by the beginning of the term after their 5th birthday.

An 'In Year Transfer' application is the process which a parent or legal guardian must complete to secure a school place other than at the normal point of admission into reception. In-year transfers are most common for families who move house to a new area or can no longer easily access their current school.

If you are interested in moving your child to St Peter's, you will need to inform your current school and complete an In-Year Transfer form.  This has to be signed by both parties and handed in to your chosen school.

Contact the school for in-year transfer requests.
