We are a wonderful class of 12 children in a mixed group of Year 5 and Year 6. Here children develop their independence, resilience and confidence as learners and encounter exciting topics as part of our curriculum. We aim to create a fun and engaging classroom environment where we celebrate everyone’s values and opinions; children relish the challenges that come with being at the upper end of key stage 2.
We have an engaging curriculum which currently includes fortnightly Forest Friday sessions. Here the children are able to immerse themselves in nature, taking part in activities and challenges set in our dedicated forest area. Children learn skills such as fire lighting, exploring, building, weaving, planting, whittling, cooking and crafting all using naturally occurring items.
